| Capt.Lobo's Farm Hideaway
is a family owned farm house on the border of Goa, located 2 kms into Maharashtra.
Nestled amongst palm trees, the well maintained place offers solace to
the weary city dweller who seeks some peace and quiet in tranquil surroundings
and away from the maddening crowds. The hideaway at the same time, offers
a variety of outdoor sports for the sports lover. A grand swimming pool
for the occasional stretch, an adjoining river for canoeing, the hillock
behind for trekking and yes, also horse riding.
The hideaway with its century old
mud house, once was the hideout of freedom fighters and witness to many
a plot and plan. The food served at the hideaway uses its own organically
grown ingredients such as garlic, ginger, pepper, different kinds of vegetables
and fruits, paddy, rice, kokum, coconuts, tapioca and its own poultry grown
eggs and chicken. The farm also makes its own pickles, jams and fruit wines. |
